The West Insider is a tool for helping people play the Free MMORPG game The West. This game is similar to other free massively multiplayer online role-playing games (also called RPG's, MMOG's, MOG's, MMO's MMORTS's or MMOFPS's) where players gain experience points (XP), wealth (gold, coins, credits, cash, money), and magical items (weapons, armor, clothing, other treasure) in their inventory in order to improve their character stats (statistics), attributes, and skills such as strength, dexterity, intelligence, wisdom, charisma, agility, and speed. The game is not set in a Fantasy, or D&D (Dungeons and dragons) type world with spells and magic, but rather in the wild west. It is a very social and interactive game, also allowing for PvP conflicts, with a very strong culture. Some other more popular MMORPG's (free or otherwise) are: World of Warcraft (WoW), Guild Wars, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer Online, Everquest 2, Lineage 2, Runescape, Final Fantasy XI, Maplestory, EvE Online, Second Life, and Habbo Hotel.
